Detailed Description
On April 12, 1862, in a daring mission, a group of Union raiders commandeered the South's American 4-4-0, "The General," which they used to sabotage rebel railroad lines deep behind enemy lines. Pursued by the Confederates, they eventually ran out of fuel and abandoned the train. Featuring a replica of that historic locomotive, this HO Scale set includes a 4-4-0 with operating headlight and tender; an old time box car, gondola, and combine; a quartermaster and telegraph office building; a 56"x 38" oval of E-Z track; a power pack; and speed controller. Full train measures approximately 24½" long.
